B-Corp
We are a certified B Corporation!
We are JAMTASTICALLY excited to have been recognised as a certified B Corporation in November 2022.
Globally, we are one of the first healthier jams businesses to do so, achieving a high 93.4 B Impact Score.
We're on a mission to bring back the jam into British households with our more fruit, less sugar range of healthier jams.
Fearne & Rosie was awarded B Corp status after meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
We are committed to balancing profit and purpose, and were highly commended for our
Impact Business Model, via our work with communities and charitable initiatives.
To be a B Corp, a firm must legally consider the impact their decisions have on workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment by using business in a positive way and outside of shareholder profit.
Passionate about providing healthy jam for all, the past year has seen Fearne & Rosie reduce waste in jam production process by using surplus ingredients as well as adopting sustainable sourcing including eco pallet wrapping and recycling content labels.
We have remained true to our original aim of donating at least 2% of revenue to charity through partnerships with BBC Children in Need and FareShare.
“Here at Fearne & Rosie, we believe that business should be a force for good. Our mission has always been to make a positive impact, focusing on our engagement with and impact on the charities with which we work with. We are thrilled to have that recognised with this certification.
I believe joining this network of like-minded organisations will drive collective impact and help democratise access to healthier, more sustainable foods.” says Fearne & Rosie's mum and founder, Rachel Kettlewell.
Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK says: “Being able to welcome Fearne & Rosie to the B Corp community is hugely exciting. As a fledgling business and challenger brand, their commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to other start-ups and help spread the idea that we can redefine success to be as much about people and planet as it is about profit.”
Rachel continues:
“More than ever, consumers want to know exactly what they’re buying. The
commitment to transparency in the B Corp certification is a critical component of our business.
Through innovation, close collaboration with local suppliers and partnerships with like-minded
charitable organisations such as BBC Children in Need and FareShare, we have worked from the outset to create a positive, lasting impact. For Fearne & Rosie, sustainability is about leaving a better world for children, and we are excited to do even more as we continue to grow.”
With our B Corp certification, we will look to continue to do our bit to raise the bar and make that positive impact.
Future plans include expanding our distribution, giving families across the UK greater access to healthier jams as well as establishing a schools’ outreach programme to empower children to make healthier food choices.
