Fearne & Rosie 2026 Climate Action Plan
At Fearne & Rosie, we know that everything we do has an environmental impact. As we grow, we want to understand that impact better and take practical steps to reduce it.
We are committed to supporting the global ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C and recognise that businesses have an important role to play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting our planet.
This is our first formal Climate Action Plan. It sets out where we are today, where we want to get to and the steps we will take to make progress.
Where We Are Today
We have already implemented sustainable practices to our packaging and operations, including the use of recycled and recyclable materials:
-
Our glass jars are lightweight and contain 52% recycled content.
-
Our SRP is 100% recycled.
-
We have an ethical supplier code of conduct across our supply chain.
-
We are committed to plastic-free deliveries from our website.
We know there is more to do. We are currently developing our understanding of our carbon footprint, including emissions associated with our operations, products, packaging and supply chain. This will help us make better-informed decisions about where we can have the greatest impact.
We also work with FareShare Yorkshire to donate surplus product and support charities across Yorkshire. We receive an annual impact report from FareShare which includes the environmental impact of our donations, including carbon emissions and water savings. We will use this information to understand and monitor the environmental impact of our surplus food donations as part of our wider climate and impact work.
Our Climate Commitments
1. Understand our carbon footprint
By the end of 2027, we will establish a baseline carbon footprint for Fearne & Rosie covering our key areas of impact, including our operations, packaging, products and supply chain.
As part of this work, we will consider the impact of our packaging materials and the role that our lightweight glass jars play as our business grows and we move more product through our supply chain. We will look at how the weight of our jars may affect the environmental impact associated with the transportation of our products and identify opportunities to improve this impact as we grow.
Once our baseline has been established, we will use the findings to identify our largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions and set a time-bound, climate-aligned emissions-reduction target for Fearne & Rosie.
Our target will be designed to support the global ambition of limiting warming to 1.5°C and will be reviewed and approved by our highest governing body.
How we will measure this:
-
Completion of a documented carbon footprint baseline by the end of 2027.
-
Identification of our key sources of greenhouse gas emissions.
-
Consideration of the environmental impact associated with the weight of our glass jars and transportation as our business grows, with opportunities for improvement identified where appropriate.
-
A documented emissions-reduction target following completion of our baseline.
2. Reduce unnecessary plastic
We will continue our commitment to reducing unnecessary plastic across our business.
By the end of 2027, we will review the plastic used across our operations, packaging and website deliveries and identify opportunities to remove or reduce unnecessary plastic.
How we will measure this:
-
Completion of a documented review of plastic use.
-
Identification of opportunities to remove or reduce unnecessary plastic.
-
Agreed actions and timelines for the opportunities identified.
3. Work with our suppliers
A large part of our environmental impact sits within our wider supply chain so we cannot tackle climate change alone.
By the end of 2027, we will engage with our key suppliers and manufacturing partners to better understand their environmental practices and identify opportunities to work together to reduce emissions and environmental impact.
How we will measure this:
-
Engagement with key suppliers and manufacturing partners.
-
Environmental and climate-related information gathered where available.
-
Actions and opportunities recorded and followed up where appropriate.
-
Annual FareShare impact data, including carbon and water savings associated with our donations, recorded and considered as part of our wider environmental impact reporting.
Building Climate Action Into Our Decision Making
We will consider environmental and climate impacts when making relevant business decisions, including decisions around packaging, suppliers, operations and new products.
Our environmental and social impact is shared with the Board and wider stakeholders, and climate action will form part of these conversations.
How we will measure this:
Climate and environmental progress will be reviewed as part of the formal review of this Climate Action Plan, with actions, progress and areas requiring further work recorded.

Resources And Responsibilities
Our leadership team will be responsible for overseeing this plan and ensuring that progress is reviewed as part of the formal Climate Action Plan review.
Relevant members of Team Berry will support individual actions across areas including packaging, purchasing, operations, marketing and supply chain.
We will allocate the appropriate time, information, data and internal resources needed to measure our environmental impact and identify practical opportunities for improvement. Where actions require changes to packaging, materials or equipment, these will be considered through our normal purchasing and product development processes.
Any investment required to deliver agreed climate actions will be considered through our normal business planning and budgeting processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
We know that meaningful climate action cannot happen in isolation. Our stakeholders will play an important role in helping us understand our environmental impact and identify practical opportunities for improvement.
Suppliers and manufacturing partners
During 2027, we will engage with our key suppliers and manufacturing partners to gather environmental and climate-related information, understand their current practices and identify opportunities to reduce emissions together.
Team Berry
We will involve relevant members of Team Berry throughout the implementation of this plan, particularly across packaging, purchasing, operations, marketing and supply chain. We will encourage feedback and ideas for practical ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Retailers and customers
We will listen to feedback from retailers and customers about packaging, products and environmental expectations and consider relevant feedback when reviewing our climate actions.
Wider business community
We will continue to learn from our B Corp community and other businesses, sharing knowledge and looking for opportunities to collaborate on positive environmental change.
Feedback and information gathered through these stakeholder conversations will be considered when identifying, prioritising and reviewing the actions within our Climate Action Plan.
Progress from stakeholder engagement and any resulting actions will be considered as part of the formal review of our Climate Action Plan every 36 months.
We will review the plan every 36 months to assess progress, update our targets where appropriate and make sure our climate action continues to reflect our growing business and our understanding of our environmental impact.
Governance and Accountability
This Climate Action Plan has been formally reviewed and approved by Fearne & Rosie's highest governing body.
The Board will oversee the Climate Action Plan and formally review its progress every 36 months.
The plan will be formally reviewed and updated at least every 36 months, or sooner where there are significant changes to our business, our climate impact or our understanding of the actions required.
Any material changes to the plan will be reviewed and approved by our highest governing body.
