Hi my name is Rachel and I am Fearne and Rosie’s mum.
When I started to wean the girls I was overwhelmed with information, ideas and enthusiasm as to how to provide my children with healthy, nutritional and fun foods. I read recipe books, I meal planned, I batch cooked and froze bits and bobs and I loved it!
I was and still am passionate about the foods my children were eating. But I struggled with the (many!) days that I hadn’t pre prepared pepper boats (thanks CBeebies!) the days when I was tired and running late and the girls just needed a quick meal.
I was shocked at the amount of sugar in a lot of the readily available quick meal choices and I felt like there must be a better alternative. That’s when I thought of Fearne and Rosie. I wanted there to be a healthier alternative for my children. Not a health food but a healthier food.
So that when I am in a rush and I’m making jam on toast I know that the jam I’m giving them has less sugar. I know that the ketchup has no added sugar. I know that they both contain high quality ingredients and no rubbish… which is brilliant and I might even arrange the food into the shape of a smiley face if I’m feeling crazy… because that’s the kind of parent I am! 😉
